Course Description: This course is designed to help students practice and enhance their technical and professional writing skills with a focus on applying user-experience (UX) testing to compose documents and design products that address the experiences, needs, and goals of a range of users.

ENGL 3153: Rhetorics of Health and Medicine

Course Description: This course guides students through analyzing how language, narrative, and persuasion rhetorically shape public understandings of health, illness, and medical practice. Specifically, students engage rhetorical analysis, considerations of graphic medicine (comics), user-experiences design, and research to examine issues at the intersection of language, health, and society.

Course Description: This course introduces students to technical and professional writing. Specifically, this class guides students through the preparation of employment documents (e.g., a professional bio, resumes & cover letter), business correspondence, professional reports and proposals, technical instructions, accessible design, and usability testing.
