Teaching

I have taught a diverse range of graduate and undergraduate students in both four-year university and community college settings in courses like technical and professional writing, business writing, rhetorical theory, rhetorics of health and medicine, user-experience design, academic writing, and composition. Across my courses, assignments ask students to engage with diversely intersectional perspectives in order to construct documents attuned to the needs and experiences of diverse stakeholders. To promote studen-centered, equitable learning, I use universal design for learning (Hitt, 2018) and difference-driven (Hubrig et al., 2020) teaching practices.
